Firstly, thank you to everyone who has supported us and our team over the recent hard times. We get very excited about Christmas here at the Hatch with this year being even more special than ever as we all missed out last year. Whether you are planning your office Christmas party or that long overdue family get together, let us make your Christmas unforgettable.

As usual on Christmas Day we will be open for just drinks from 11.30am until 2.00pm. We really missed all our lovely guests last year so however you celebrate, get your turkeys in the oven, your Christmas Day walk done, head across the road to the St James’ church service for some carols (or sneak in for an early one while it’s going on!), then pop in to us for a festive tipple or two. Don’t forget we will have our usual complimentary roasties and Yorkshire Puddings going round to nibble on to keep you going until your long awaited family Christmas lunch at home.
This year we have also made the decision to close on Boxing Day. Although this is usually an incredibly busy day for us, and very popular with our guests from further afield and locals alike, we have decided to close. This is to ensure all our team who missed out on seeing their loved ones last Christmas get to spend some quality time with family and friends and really make the most of this year. We hope everyone understands and supports our decision. You can see our full opening times for the festive period below.

Booking T&Cs: All festive bookings must be confirmed with a £10 per person deposit. Deposits are not refundable. Deposit payment will be deducted from the total of your final bill. The full balance is payable on the day. All food must be pre-ordered at least 7 days in advance of your booking. Any amendments to food choices must be made no later than 3 days prior to your visit. In the event we are unable to open due to a change in government guidelines a full refund or gift voucher will be offered.
