While we are still waiting for the new guidance for changes to hospitality COVID restrictions from Monday 19th July to be published, we wanted to confirm some decisions we have already made to how things will operate here at The Abinger Hatch from that date.
Our front of house team will continue to wear face coverings when working on shift, unless they are medically exempt, until we decide otherwise.
We will highly recommend and encourage guests to continue to wear face coverings indoors at all times when not seated in the pub.
We will be continuing to operate with table and/or app order service only throughout the pub and garden – service at the inside bar will not resume until we decide otherwise.
Hand sanitiser stations will still be available throughout the pub, particularly at entrance and exits, and we will be encouraging guests to continue to make regular use of them. Whilst we respect that some people will be thrilled to hear the news of easing restrictions we have decided to act with caution amongst the rising case numbers currently being seen. Many of our team are young and so have either only just had a first vaccine, are still waiting for their appointment, or, in some cases, are too young to qualify for them at all. Our priority, as always, is the safety of our team and guests first and foremost so we will continue as we are until we feel more comfortable with the situation.
Best wishes, Brad & Charlotte
